Here is the joyous moments that i experienced while working in crossword. I had an amazing department owner and great team mates. I have got to tell you about these two guys who were so mean to me and one of my friends. This “khunas” (rivalry) started when we joined the children section. They would not let us do any work in the section. I guessed anyone would wish for not working but ion crossword it was not like that. We two then decided ourselves that we will not give up so easily and revolt back with a tough competition. We outsmarted them in many ways. And as days passed they accepted us as their team members…and were happy to have us in their team.

Lucky are the ones who are still working in crossword. My best crossword memories are the New Year Celebrations and Valentine’s Day in Mahalaxmi.

We were all geared up for the valentine day’s special in Crossword Mahalaxmi. This is one day, crossword Mahalaxmi employees working then will never forget. We didn’t plan for anything grand. It was a very simple idea but I guess there would be nothing else better planned for that day. One of our colleagues Abhishek’s agreed to play the guitar and sing along with his girlfriend. The one song that I can remember he sang was MLTR - Sleeping Child. As Abhishek’s girlfriend was a regular visitor of crossword we all had become good friends with her. There was a different atmosphere that had settled on that day. Later on the same day, when there were few customers we sat on our Lego table in the children section reading a few sonnets and poems to liven up the atmosphere even more. Now when I visit crossword, I never get to see what we experienced and did in Mahalaxmi.

The other best memories that I cherish of working in crossword is the opening of Crossword Kemps Corner. I still remember the entrance looking graceful it was covered with white and yellow flowers along with white balloons hanging all over. The children drove us crazy for balloons.

After working for few months in Kemps Corner, I was transferred to Inorbit. Here we celebrated Tinkle Comics Anniversary with the founder of Tinkle comics – Anant Pai. It was remarkable sight, not only children but youngsters and also elderly people my parent’s age; all were present to participate in the event. For a certain period they had hired this guy to enact the Supandi character and give chocolates to the kids. And I was helping him in the same inviting visitors to join us. Although children were excited to see a person masked as Supandi. But only I and that guy knew how heavy the masked head of Supandi was. I really pitied him as he had to carry that heavy thing on his shoulders for a week. At intervals we took breaks in the middle to give rest to his shoulders and to my legs. We had a wonderful time during the event.

I believed I have enjoyed more than I have worked in crossword. And I guess I will never able to replace these crossword memories with any of my job experiences.
